What does it look like when the gospel transforms lives in the world's youngest nation?

This Sunday, we heard powerful testimonies from Bishop Joseph Amir of South Sudan and Tearfund Canada. In a country where 70% are illiterate, 63% face food insecurity, and gender-based violence affects 70% of women, the local church is bringing hope, healing, and sustainable change.

Through poultry programs, kitchen gardens, savings groups, and trauma counseling, the church is meeting emergency needs while building long-term resilience. Most remarkably, South Sudanese Christians are extending Christ's love to Muslim refugees fleeing Sudan—their former enemies—proving that the gospel breaks down walls and transforms bitter hearts.

Your support through Tearfund literally saves lives and spreads the hope of Jesus. As 2 Corinthians 8:1-5 reminds us, the church has always been called to support those in need. Today isn't just about hearing—it's about doing.
